/ The new Barboy Lilac Grey and Mushroom

Verpan adds two new colours to its lineup of Barboy – the funky yet functional mobile storage unit designed by Verner Panton in 1963. The new palette consists of a Lilac Grey, a cool grey colour with a hint of summer lilac and Mushroom, a subtle and elegant earthy shade. Both colours takes inspiration from the calm and timeless beauty of nature.

The versatile storage unit
As its name suggest, the Barboy was intended as a funky addition to the lounge area – designed to discretely hold bottles, glasses and other bar utensils, however, Barboy can be so much more. Use it as a perfect addition to the home office, kitchen, bedroom or wherever you find yourself in need of additional storage space.

The Barboy is cleverly constructed using a single concealed rod that goes through each element and enables the top plate and two small drawers to rotate 360° allowing you to access each of the three drawers from above.

Barboy is available in Lilac Grey, Mushroom, Black, White, Blue and Orange.

About Verpan
Verpan is a licensed manufacturer of designs by famous Danish architect and designer, Verner Panton. The Danish design company is, much like Panton, a product of the Danish design tradition, which have put Denmark on the map for functional, modern and unique design.

In close collaboration with the Panton estate, today managed by daughter Carin Panton von Halem, Verpan is the official licensee to a significant part of Verner Panton’s extensive back catalogue. It all began in 2003 when Verpan initiated the production of its first Verner Panton lighting range. In 2010, the company added a furniture line. An ongoing process of picking and choosing designs from the vast treasure chest of Panton’s work will ensure that the world will be able to see and appreciate much more of his work in the future.

About Verner Panton (1926-1998)
Among the giants of Danish design, Verner Panton established a unique reputation for his exuberant originality and tireless experimentation. Panton created lamps, furniture and textiles – and was also a sought-after interior designer. Although he was at the forefront of mid-century Danish Modern, Panton’s contribution was anything but mainstream. He enthusiastically embraced new materials, he splashed with a bold colour palette, and he playfully imbued many of his sculptural creations with a strong graphical expression – without ever compromising on quality or workmanship.

Panton’s iconic designs have emerged as contemporary design classics – as strikingly inventive now as they were 50 years ago.
