The elegant Pantop line was designed by Verner Panton in 1980, and has for a long time been a staple of the Verpan collection. Pantop is characterized by a bell-like, widely flaring shade which is mounted with the aperture facing down.

The new Pantop Portable is a modern version of the Pantop design that uses modern materials and technologies. Something that Panton himself always sought.

Pantop Portable adds a level of ease of use and flexibility that allows you to take the light with you - from room to room, and create the desired atmosphere wherever you are. With seven hours of operating time, Pantop Portable allows you to enjoy the flexibility of light for an entire evening where there is no access to power.

The three-stage dimmer allows you to adjust the light level to the desired atmosphere and setting.

Verner Panton

Verner Panton (1926-1998) was an inspirational and colourful personality. A unique person with a special sense of colours, shapes, light function and room. Over the course of his career, Verner Panton (1926-1998) introduced a series of modern lamps with personalities unlike any of his Scandinavian contemporaries. With a remarkable faith in the unlimited possibilities of the form, he worked successfully to create a new set of theories about how lighting should work and how it should influence its surrounding.
